About the therapist
Chanley Dollgener is a Licensed Professional Counselor who identifies with and is part of the LGBTQIA+ community. She received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas focusing on Brain & Behavioral Science, Education, and Math & Science. She has also obtained her master’s degree from Texas A&M University at Commerce in Mental Health and School Counseling. Chanley has over a decade of experience in the field of education, and an additional eight years in the field of counseling. She has most recently been employed as a high school counselor, and has taught middle school special education reading. She is a board certified Texas counselor and teacher, as well as nationally certified counselor. Chanley is also a member of the Texas Counseling Association. Using primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic strategies, Chanley is the proprietor of Transformative Transitions, a private practice which provides individual, family, group counseling, and consulting. Her areas of research include the impact of trauma on children and adolescents, and issues surrounding working with diverse populations. Chanley attends workshops and training in areas of the LGBTQIA+ community, the abuse of children and adolescents, self esteem building, sensitivity to diversity in the workplace, building leadership skills, relationships, and professional ethics in counseling.
